![]() Labour Movement for Europe November 2005 The relaunch of the Labour Movement for Europe, on Tuesday 22 November at 6pm in the Palace of Westminster. LME was founded to articulate a sane pro-European voice in the UK and to fight against organised anti-European propaganda. Now that Britain in Europe has folded, we have decided to relaunch LME as a campaigning organisation. We need a way for all party members who are interested in campaigning openly on Europe to keep informed and engaged, regularly receiving up-to-date information to enable them to take part in debates, argue in meetings, write to newspapers and generally make the case for a progressive Europe. At the relaunch event, Douglas Alexander MP, Minister for Europe, will speak. Comedian Eddie Izzard also hopes to be with us. We will also launch a new campaign website and an updated statement of LME's aims. Following this relaunch, there will be a programme of activities and we hope to use our mailing list in conjunction with the website as an active campaigning tool. We will also provide support so that activists can set up new regional sections of LME. With best wishes,
Richard Corbett MEP
