March 2004 Election Result

Dear Labour International Member,

I have pleasure in announcing the results below of the election to LICC (Labour International Consultative Committee) and the LI Conference delegate.

We received four nominations, three male and one female, for the two vacancies on LICC, one of which was also a nomination for Conference delegate.
Two of the male nominations were judged ineligible as they did not meet either proposer/seconder requirements or residential requirements.
Thus no election is required and the official result is as follows.

LICC membership for the period 26th September 2004 to last week September 2005 is thus as follows:

Meetings:

LICC has two planned meetings in order to discuss administrative matters, and, more importantly, necessary initiatives to make LI into an active and effective organisation which fully contributes to developing LP policy and the wider impact of Labour values and policies:

All LI members are invited to send comments, suggestions and proposals for LICC to discuss. If proposals, please indicate if possible the extent or otherwise of support you know your proposal has amongst paid up LICC members. All inputs for discussion by LICC on 16 April should aim to reach the Secretary, Jeremy Millard, no later than Thursday 8 April, preferably by email. All such inputs, whether received by email or post, will be acknowledged so you know they have been registered.

Don't forget that LI has its own web-site:
http://www.labourint.org.uk, which is being used as a noticeboard, information source and communicator of news and events relevant to LI Members worldwide. A letters page is also available, so please upload your inputs for the next LICC meeting here, if you have access to the Internet.

Yours sincerely

Jeremy Millard
LICC Secretary
